The Metamyth of the United States; or, the Song of the Sun God Acierma

The Song of the Sun God Acierma is the first offering of metamyths, stories that retell the story of our world by disguising countries as gods, allowing every major event in history to be reimagined as a mythic adventure, offering a fresh glimpse at history for both adults and young people.

Acierma is an anagram of America, and The Song of the Sun God Acierma tells how he was born during a battle between thirteen rebel gods and their former master, the god of Fire, and continues as a saga of his rise to power, of the violence between his followers and the battles between all gods that thrust him into taking the leading role in heaven.

Written as if it were an epic poem translated from that world, these 33 pages offer a small glimpse into a larger project to retell the story of every god, of every country. This requires people from around the globe to contribute the tales of their own cities and countries, to offer fully detailed and illustrated accounts of reimagined history. By offering this version, both readers and contributors can follow how metamyths reflect history while allowing the details to be determined later, once the network is established. Revenue will be used to establish a charity and social network to compile everything into one metamythology, telling the 5,000 year story of humanity as if it were one great and epic myth.
